IRVINE, Calif. – March 26, 2026 – Today, SEGA® launched Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage for Nintendo Switch 2, marking the debut of the beloved 3D fighting series on a Nintendo platform.
This definitive release features full cross-play – allowing competitive online battles between Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam users – along with rollback netcode support, new moves and combos, balance updates, and key improvements to the training mode. There’s also World Stage mode, a new single-player experience where players will challenge powerful rivals on a solo quest to become the ultimate fighter!
Additionally, a free demo is now available today for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S via their respective digital storefronts. The demo provides access to six playable fighters – Wolf, Jacky, Eileen, Pai, Goh, and Jean – with an opportunity to try out Arcade, Training, and World Stage mode (up to Booth 2).
Those who purchase any Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game (digital or physical) will be granted the Sega Hardware Customisation Item “Genesis,” based on the legendary SEGA hardware, at no added cost! This in-game digital customisation item can be equipped by all 19 base characters in the game.
A standard digital edition is available for £15.99. Those who opt to purchase the physical or digital 30th Anniversary Edition (£39.99) will unlock the following:
