Evolving Timeline

In a historical Total War first Mandate of Heaven features an evolving timeline which grants the ability to play through the prequel setting directly into the base game of THREE KINGDOMS. Rewrite history as your game transitions into 190CE as events unfold based on the choices you've made, and new factions join the fray.

Era Defining Warlords

With six new playable warlords from the imperious Emperor Ling to the unifying Zhang Jue, as well as all new prequel campaigns for fan favorites such as the cunning Cao Cao and the loyal Liu Bei, players can wage war with the majesty of the Han Empire, inspire rebellions with the ravaging Yellow Turban tribes, or write their own unique chapter in one of ancient China’s most turbulent periods.

With the might of China at your fingertips you can lay waste to your enemies on an unprecedented scale with over forty new units available for recruitment. New infantry and cavalry range from peasants to dynastic elites such as the Chen Peacekeepers, Yaoguai Hunters, and the Imperial Conscripts.
