    "body": "<p><strong>Irvine, CA &ndash; October 29, 2026 &ndash; </strong>SEGA<em>&reg; </em>has announced that <em>Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition</em>, the official game of the <em>Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba </em>series, is now available for purchase.</p><p>This new release features key improvements over the original Nintendo Switch version, including the implementation of a 60FPS framerate and higher-quality visuals. Plus, along with the standard 2-player local and online VS Mode, the game will have cross-gen support between Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 users, allowing even more players to join the fray.</p><p>The digital<strong> Standard Edition (&pound;34.99) </strong>includes the <strong>Base game </strong>and <strong>two Character Unlock Keys</strong>: Academy Rengoku and Academy Uzui.</p><p>Players who own <em>Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2</em> either digitally or physically on Nintendo Switch will be able to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version at no additional cost through a free upgrade pass. Please note the &ldquo;Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle&rdquo; Character Pass is not included as part of the upgrade pass &ndash; users will need to purchase the Character Pass separately through Nintendo eShop.</p><p><u><em><strong>The Hinokami Chronicles </strong></em></u><u><strong>Crosses 6 Million Units</strong></u></p><p>Today&rsquo;s launch coincides with another important milestone: <em>The Hinokami Chronicles </em>series, which includes <em>Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles </em>and <em>Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2</em>, has surpassed six million units sold.</p><p><em>Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition </em>is available now for Nintendo Switch 2.
